Can I use BriteChild instead of hiring a school counsellor or establishing a wellbeing team?
If your school is in a rural or remote area, you may find it difficult to find qualified staff to oversee student wellbeing. If this is the case, you can completely outsource your counselling requirements to us. Ultimately, this is more cost-effective than maintaining an in-house counsellor.
Can you support our school counselling team?
BriteChild® can help take some of the work off of a school counsellor’s plate by offering counselling sessions for students. Counsellors can also consult our experts if they need a second opinion or need help with a student.
We’ve been trying to recruit a school counsellor. Can Brite Child fill the gap in the interim?
Yes, BriteChild® can definitely fill the gap. We have psychologists on demand with telehealth sessions that students can access any time they need, as well as support and resources for teachers.
What ages can you support?
BriteChild® can support educators and schools working with children aged 7 to 18. We can also support educators and schools who teach children under the age of 7

Will we always have the same expert for telehealth sessions?
Yes, students can choose a psychologist and work with the same person long-term, however we have a range of experts that may be best suited for different presentations.
Will we always have the same expert to answer questions?
As our aim is to provide regular and fast intervention, we may not be able to match you to the same person every time. Experts will always review the student’s profile and previous questions/answers so they’re up to speed.
We guarantee responses will be high quality, written with care, by the best expert we have available at the time.
That said, if you do have any follow-up questions after getting an answer from one of our specialists, we’ll aim to connect you with the same person if possible.
What happens if we have a critical incident? Can we use BriteChild® to offer additional support to students, parents, and teachers?
Absolutely. We provide support to up to 16 students and during a critical incident, we’re able to work flexibly with you to provide additional support, including counselling to parents and teachers.
Do you train educators to handle mental health and behavioural issues?
Teachers can access all the video courses and resources in our library. If you need further support or PD, speak with our team and we can develop a custom plan to suit your needs.
