Frequently Asked Questions

How does this app work?

As soon as you join BriteChild®, we ask you to complete a profile for each child. This is so that we can provide our experts with the context they need (and so that you don’t have to keep explaining).  Afterwards, you can start asking questions and booking video consultations right away.

What issues do you help with?

We can support most social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, like anxiety, social skills, sleep issues, emotional regulation, behaviour management, and parenting. We have access to thousands of experts and go to great lengths to find the right information for you.

Is this a health treatment?

BriteChild® is a digital psychology clinic that provides parents with practical strategies and child telehealth consultations under Medicare, NDIS or as a private client. However, the services we provide through the telehealth consultations may not be suitable for everyone. If we are unable to work with you, we will refer you to a third party who can better address your needs.

Will I always have the same expert to answer my questions?

As our aim is to provide regular and fast intervention, we may not be able to match you to the same person every time.

Experts will always review your child’s profile and previous questions/answers so they’re up to speed. You won’t have to explain again or worry about important details getting lost.

We guarantee responses will be high quality, written with care, by the best expert we have available at the time.

That said, if you do have any follow-up questions after getting an answer from one of our specialists, we’ll aim to connect you with the same person if possible.

Will I always have the same expert for telehealth consultations?

You can choose your expert for all telehealth consultations, whether you want the same person every time or a specialist for a certain issue.

What happens if my expert isn’t the right fit or my child won’t cooperate?

Unlike with traditional psychologists, you won’t have to go to the back of the list. Simply choose another expert and book a consultation. This makes it fast and easy to find the right match for your child’s needs and personality. If your child refuses to attend therapy, you can consult with our experts and learn strategies to help them at home. Ask as many questions as you need via BriteChild® or easily book a telehealth consultation for yourself.

Can I add multiple children?

Yes, we charge a flat fee per family during our introductory pricing, for up to 3 children.

What ages can you support?

We currently work with children aged 7 to 18. You won’t need to worry about your child aging out of our service.

With BriteChild®, you’ll have access to a wide range of specialists to support them through every stage of development. We can also support parents who have children under the age of 7.

However, we are unable to work with your child directly.

What ages can you support?

As you ask questions, we build on your child’s profile and gain a better understanding of how we can help.

With diagnoses, risks, strengths, key themes, and past work done with your child, our experts can easily recommend the best path forward – no need for you to keep re-explaining or providing information.

You’ll also be assigned a dedicated agent who will get to know you and your child’s needs so that we can assign the best experts.

How long will it take to get an answer from an expert?

Our experts deliver 92% of all responses in less than 2 business days.

Can older children use BriteChild® to ask questions?

No. Children between the ages of 7 and 18 may work with our experts during telehealth consultations, but cannot ask questions via BriteChild® between sessions. This is for your child’s safety. As we do not have live chat, we cannot address issues, concerns, and risks as they arise in real time.

Are you registered with NDIS and Medicare?

Yes, we are registered provider under NDIS and Medicare. However our membership fees are not claimable under Medicare or any NDIS scheme. These schemes have a range of requirements and this means your sessions may not always be able to be claimed.
